MORGANA LEFAY Pull Out of BLOODSTOCK Festival's XMas Party
December 16, 2005Swedish "heavy doom progressive" metallers MORGANA LEFAY have cancelled their previously announced appearance at the Bloodstock Festival's XMas Party on Sunday, December 18. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:
At 4:00 Friday morning [Dec. 16] local time guitarist Peter Grehn was rushed to the hospital with major stomach pains. From what we know it's something with his appendix and he's been moved to a hospital 100km from our hometown to undergo surgery.
"MORGANA LEFAY are devastated to have to cancel this show, their first in the UK. The band wishes to extend their apologies to everyone who bought tickets, the supports HEADSPEED and SEVENYEARSDEAD, to Vince and the people involved with Bloodstock."
As previously reported, MORGANA LEFAY will team up with Owe Lingwall (NOCTURNAL RITES drummer) as producer/director for a second video off their "Grand Materia" album, to be filmed later this month. The chosen track is "I Roam" and the resultant clip is expected to be finished in January.
MORGANA LEFAY were asked to join old touring buddies NOCTURNAL RITES for a one-off show in NOCTURNAL RITES' hometown Umeå, Sweden. The show will take place at Iduntatern on January 28, 2006. Support at teh gig will come from ASSAILANT and SPINNING BLACK CIRCLE. Tickets are available at www.ticnet.se.
